This role directs and manages a technology team to ensure that the technology operations align with the company's goals, improve efficiency, provide appropriate data security and integrity, and support overall business strategies.

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
Experience
At least 10 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. Proven experience in overseeing the implementation of IT infrastructure and software systems. Experience with strategic planning, budget, and financial management in an IT context. Insurance industry experience is preferred.

- Develop and implement IT strategies that support the organization's objectives and drive operational efficiency.
- Lead and manage a team of IT professionals by providing guidance and development.
- Collaborate with Innovation and Business Analytics in setting company-wide technology priorities and supporting projects.
- Function as co-chair of the Technology Steering Committee and participate as a member of the Information Security Committee and Business Continuity Committee.
- Oversee the maintenance, upgrading, and security of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of enterprise software applications, ensuring they are up-to-date and function efficiently.
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
- Provide oversight of IT projects from conception through implementation, ensuring appropriate resource allocation, timely completion and within budget.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards and implement robust security measures to protect the organization's data.
- Administer the company’s disaster recovery and incident response ensuring plans are comprehensive, up-to-date, and effectively implemented.
- Oversee internal and external IT audit requirements.
- Define and implement department policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Serve as a Strategic Champion in development of the annual operating plan.
- Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and innovations, recommending and implementing innovative technologies to improve business processes.
