How to Make the Team
We are hiring a PT Office Assistant for Islanders Iceworks. If you are passionate about sports and are looking to gain experience in the sports industry, then we want to get to know you. You will report directly to the Manager of Islanders Iceworks and will engage frequently with all of our staff members, coaches and customers.
Show Us You Can
- Represent and promote Islanders Iceworks in a professional and respectful manner
- Provide excellent customer service both in person and over the phone
- Understand and have the ability to explain all programs to prospective and existing customers
- Learn and utilize our POS system to collect fees for private lessons, freestyle sessions and skate rentals
- Hand out skate rentals and ensure organization of the skate rental room
- Assist staff with other miscellaneous duties
Your Training & Talent
- Previous office/customer service experience recommended
- Knowledge of hockey and/or figure skating recommended
- Ability to work approximately 15-20 hours per week. Night and weekend availability is a MUST!
- Energetic and outgoing personality with a strong work ethic
- Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task
- Experience with Microsoft Office

- Islanders Iceworks is located in Syosset, NY
- Available to work nights and weekends
