What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Assistant position at Newton Vision Center?
Our practice is growing! With three offices and 5 optometrists, we have an Entry level position available in our front office and patient care areas. We will happily train the right candidate, and if you have prior optometry experience, that's a plus! The field of optometry continues to evolve with new technology and procedures, giving our staff an opportunity to learn and broaden their knowledge of eye care.
The right candidate for this position will have a great smile, be friendly, polite and enjoy helping other people. Must be an excellent communicator, able to multi task and be kind to others. Responsibilities will include scheduling, check in/out, patient testing, and chart prep/insurance. Cross training for other departments offered. Dependability with reliable transportation required. Our practice can be your new career!
Must have a HS diploma/GED and a valid driver's license. Drug testing is mandatory.
