Summary:
The NAC AQUATICS Swim Program is looking for high energy swim instructors for our indoor program! The NAC Instructors are the face of the aquatics department. This role focuses on teaching swim lessons and supplemental training in water and on land. There is built-in office time for instructors to communicate with swim families about progress, increase retention, advance training, and projects to advance the department's overall growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships, provide guidance and service to all members and clients.
- Learn and identify member's goals, educate how their expertise will help them, sell lesson services.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required:
- Minimum age of 18.
- Complete PA Criminal History Background Check
- Must be an active person - "in water" type person preferred.
- Must be able to demonstrate swim instructor skills in accordance with NAC standards.
- 1 years experience preferred, but not required.
- Positive attitude and ability to work with young children and/or adults.
- Interested in broadening swimming skills and knowledge.
- Certifications preferred: CPR, AED, Basic First Aid, Lifeguard and WSI
- Ability to instruct and observe participants in proper stroke techniques.
- Ability to lift equipment and to lift a small to average size child.
- Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation.
Work Schedule:
We are prioritizing scheduling for lessons on Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 4-8pm, as well as Saturdays & Sundays from 9am-1pm. Not all days are required and alternative availability is cool with me so feel free to apply!
Pay Scale:
After initial training period, Swim Instructors are paid well on a commission structure for each lesson taught, both private and group formats. An hour of swim lessons can vary between $17 and $70 depending on lesson type and volume of participants. Instructor payscale increases with experience, qualifications, and their clients demand.
