We are seeking a Finance Director to oversee the financial operations of our organization. This role requires a strategic leader with excellent financial acumen, operational skills, and the ability to foster a high-performance culture within the finance team.
Position Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy: Develop, implement, and manage the company’s financial strategy to support organizational objectives.
- Analyzing variances, and recommending corrective actions.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Lead and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Cost Management: Analyze expenses and lead cost-saving initiatives to enhance financial performance and efficiency.
- Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
- Risk Management: Identify financial and operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal financial controls to ensure accuracy and security of financial data.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative and growth-focused environment.
- Lead initiatives to optimize the use of Deltek software for financial reporting and analysis.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, including sales tax, income tax, and other regulatory filings.
Certification Requirement:
CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred). Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in government contracting and compliance requirements.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Extensive experience with Deltek software is required.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to executive leadership.
- Demonstrated experience in team management and leadership.
