Job Description
The ESS Customer Support SME with NGDS will provide support in a Data Center environment. The Customer Support SME will coordinate with specific system owners and other relevant commands for acquisition and analysis of ESS data and to ensure ESS is fully deployed. This position will provide technical subject matter expertise on A&A, ACAS, and ESS. This position requires experience with hardening and maintaining security posture of Windows/RHEL/SOLARIS.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1) A&A (10%)
• Ensure customer submitted TASHRDS for requested changes match documentation located within eMASS
• Coordinate with customer A&A/IA permanent and temporary changes to the environment with datacenter IA
• Serve as point of contact for all A&A related inquiries to the data center for the customer
2) ACAS(30%)
• Conduct weekly ACAS scans for the MSE environments
• Review and document ACAS findings that are the responsibility of the data center and coordinate resolutions with the customer
• Deliver weekly ACAS scan results to the MO ACAS distribution group
• Conduct all weekly ADHOC ACAS Scan requests by the customer
• Ensure all system scans are properly reporting to VRAM
• Investigate any failed server scans and rescan as required
• Manage VRAM listing to include manual scan baseline uploads, updating server status, add/remove servers as appropriate
3) ESS(60%)
• Verifying systems IAW Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) standards
• Validating and coordinating all ESS scheduled maintenance
• Create custom queries and Dashboard as needed
• Maintaining and administering the Enterprise computing systems to meet the DoD mandated security requirements and directives
• Review ESS dashboards and analyzing results
• Analyze and monitor events and alerts; reporting as needed
• Create maintenance windows via manual tagging or automated server task
• Conduct point product repair
• Generate compliance reports and deliver to customer
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and remediation

Desired/Required Skills:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics AND four years direct experience supporting ESS/HBSS OR a minimum of eight years direct experience
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Secret clearance or higher preferred
8570 compliance (Active Security and OS certifications)
Reliable with exceptional work ethic
Detail oriented with self-motivated attitude
Collaborative, team focus to support cohesive work team
Ability to handle competing priorities with high expectations in a team-oriented environment
Experience configuring systems to Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) standards
Cisco Networking experience (Router, Switch, Firewall, VLAN configuration) preferred
Experience with virtual platforms and supporting production environments necessary
Experience with ServiceNow preferred
Experience with Navy Computer Network Defense (CND) architectures preferred
