- Pay: $60 per class, plus 50 cents per mile if driving more than 20m roundtrip.
- Schedule: Thursdays 2:45 - 3:45 pm.
- Locations: Meridian Middle School (2195 Brandywyn Ln, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089)
- Dates: January to February 13th, 2025.
- Grades: 4th to 5th.
- STEM Knowledge needed: Not needed, but it is a PLUS!
- Programs: Build-A-Bot (check our website https://nexploreusa.com/).
- Work Location: In person
About Nexplore (www.nexploreusa.com): Nexplore is a national enrichment service provider with a mission statement to foster the joy of learning through a wide range of over 50 STEAM, Life Skills, and Fitness solutions offered as after-school, in-school, and summer programs.
Nexplore Instructor Role: The Nexplore Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality, in-person STEAM classes for grades K-5 in Chicagoland. Supplied with lesson plans, curriculum, and materials, the Nexplore Instructor is responsible for preparing for instruction and teaching students. They will report to a Nexplore Program Success Manager.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Arrive on time and prepared to teach (must review lesson plans and materials before instruction).
- Manage instructional materials.
- Deliver lessons from Nexplore’s collection of 80 programs (schedule/lessons will be provided).
- Communicate and collaborate with Nexplore Program Success Manager and site personnel.
Qualifications:
- Part-time position.
- AA Degree (or higher).
- Experience in Teaching.
- Passion for education and fostering the joy of learning in children.
- Experience working with children.
- Educational (development or training) experience.
- Teaching degree or certificate is a PLUS!
- Must commit to the full proposed schedule.
- Great communication and presentation skills.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation.
- Willing to complete a background check and fingerprints.
- Willing to complete mandatory training.
Compensation
- Compensation is $60 per class.
- 50 cents/mile if driving more than 20 miles roundtrip..
