Job Summary:
Essential Functions:
Perform mold and material changes
Perform startup of press and shut down
Ensure preventative maintenance on tooling and machines are completed per documented work instructions
Clean grinders
Clean dryer and blenders
Material preparation
Mix concentrate
Deliver material to molding presses
Fill out material log
Ensure all locking material bins are functioning properly
Transfer material from RMSTA
FIFO material rack
5S material area
Answer press alarms
Back up Team Leader when needed
Back up Machine Operators when needed
Ensure equipment process and product quality meets documented internal standards
Assist associates with day-to-day issues
Ensure the documented TS16949 quality system is followed relating to the manufacturing function
All other duties assigned
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Skills/Experience/Requirements:
One year experience in plastic injection molding
Paulson training (disk 1-4)
Must understand the concept of “Critical Parts”
Nifco Basic Molding – Power Point Presentation
Hands on proper mold safety setup
Technical knowledge of injection molding processes with machines, tooling, materials and molding techniques
Completion of all molding grade level testing
Must be an effective communicator in the English language
Must be able to train and motivate others in a positive way
Forklift certification required (provided by Nifco)
Behave in a positive manner that enhances the success of the company
Physical/Ergonomic Requirements:
Must be able to lift 60lbs.
Must be able to work on feet for 12 hours
