WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for experienced Engineering Team Lead to join our team in North America Logistics Technology. The engineering lead supports a squad of world class engineers, manages delivery priorities, and provide technical leadership and support to the rest of the team.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will build and deliver the roadmaps for the existing and new Technology capabilities needed, build and develop the team and lead vendors and other partners to delight consumers. You will support multiple important platforms for Logistics. The squad you support will own multiple microservice based platforms that use inhouse solutions or best of breed third party packages to deliver value to our consumers.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will work with globally distributed teams across product, program, architecture and engineering. You will help your squads collaborate with other squads to deliver end to end solutions. You will report into the Director of Engineering for NA Logistics.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years management experience of impactful software engineering teams
- 5 years software development experience
- Leadership in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of engineers onshore and offshore
- Experience working in a distributed/cloud-based environment (e.g. Amazon EC2, GCE, Rackspace, Azure etc.)
- Experience in crafting and implementing highly scalable web applications
- Experience in micro service architecture, domain driven design, and RESTful Services using Java Language
- Experience working with relational data stores like MySQL and Oracle
- Experience with supervising and tracing tools like Splunk, SignalFx and New Relic
- Exposure to continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests. Continuous delivery experience preferred
- Previous experience with Blue Yonder TMS, Manhattan TMS, Transplace, Centiro or any other TMS solution.
- Exposure to Supply Chain domain areas like inventory management, order management, and warehouse management is preferred.
- Exposure to implementing or integrating with enterprise scale packages like SAP S4, Blue Yonder TMS, IBM Sterling, Manhattan WMS is preferred.
- Solid understanding of Scrum and agile principles
- Lead production support post release
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results driven environment
- Comfortable working with globally distributed and diverse teams
- Comfortable attending meetings with partners across multiple global locations
- Comfortable supporting local activities in building and growing local Nike Global Technology presence
- Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively connect with both business and technical teams
- Excel working in team-oriented roles that rely on ability to collaborate with others
