Customers will explore hundreds of products from the most innovative brands in appliances, cabinetry, fixtures and more!
Position Purpose
The HDDC Sales Assistant Manager (AM) is responsible for creating a high performing selling culture and achieving this through development/coaching of their team, Sales & Design team staffing and delivering world class customer service. The AM will lead a team of variably compensated Sales & Design associates work with customers in an HDDC showroom visit homes of Home Depot customers and successfully close the sales of HDDC's product lines. The AM drives local store and HD Pro connectivity by building and maintaining relationships with local leadership and associates, continually updating/training them on HDDC’s product offerings. The AM is also responsible for driving project conversion & completion efforts in the stores through the sales team. The AM will manage Sales & Design associates through every aspect of the employment life cycle including hiring, training/coaching, performance management, etc. The AM will lead a team of Sales & Design associates to achieve sales targets and will be responsible for understanding, analyzing and prioritizing business metrics (e.g., scorecards, KPI, etc.). The AM is responsible for the customer experience and ensuring the sales team delivers world class customer service; this is accomplished proactively by consistently monitoring reports to ensure customer's projects are moving through the job process efficiently as well as being accountable to Voice of the Customer scores and feedback.
Key Responsibilities
20% - Customer Service - Drive customer service by responding to escalated customer inquiries/concerns and leveraging relationships with Service Provider and internal teams.
20% - Drive Conversion - Drive appointment conversion from initial appointments to close of sale.
50% - Drive Sales - Drive assigned sales team to achieve sales targets. Understand, analyze and prioritize business metrics. Implement action plans to improve performance. Monitor progress toward the achievement of all business metrics.
10% - Teach, coach and manage - Optimizes diverse talent through a demonstrated commitment to equal employment opportunity. Teach, coach, manage, & retain a team of sales and Design associates. Continually train sales team on HDDC's sales process and new/updated products and offerings.

Travel Requirements
Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.
Physical Requirements
Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
Working Conditions
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
