nLogic is seeking a Materials and Process Engineer to perform activities related to the SLS Core Stage 2 through Core Stage 4 vehicles, ensuring quality program requirements and timely equipment calibrations as part of the data deliverable program requirements.

Position Responsibilities:
- Performing detailed NASA manned space requirement compliance assessments against M&P parts requirements.
- Leading the 2219-T851 thick plate material test campaign, including defining material cut plans, coordinating with Boeing labs for machining and testing, and analyzing data to provide recommendations for material properties used in Core Stage stress reports.
- Leading waivers for the technical rationale of dry installation of fasteners, executing test programs, and generating supporting technical rationale for vehicle use in the current configuration.
- Providing M&P engineering support, including engineering drawing review, approval releases, production facility support, subcontractor/supplier interface, requirements verification, contract deliverables preparation, and hardware anomaly resolution support.
- Reviewing product engineering designs for compliance with NASA M&P requirements, providing recommendations, and technical acceptance rationale for requirement noncompliances during the design, manufacturing, and test phases.
- Performing GC/MS, specifically purge and trap experience, to support SOW.
- Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing laboratory equipment, including GC/MS, to ensure timely delivery of customer data.
- Analyzing blowing agent content of aerospace thermal protection system foam components.
- Performing routine facility gas and liquid sampling and analysis to ensure commodities meet specifications.
- Providing timely analysis and reporting for detailed process materials to ensure required specifications are met for production use.
- Drafting engineering specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes.
- Evaluating emerging technologies for potential application to business needs.
- Incorporating changes to material and/or process specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of materials, parts, and processes.
- Leading and assisting with performing tests to qualify new materials and processes to meet requirements.
- Leading activities to support subcontractor deliverable verification, including reviewing supplier processes, supporting regular supplier interface meetings, and reviewing and approving supplier contract deliverables (e.g., MIULs and MUAs).
- Leveraging M&P expertise in manned space vehicles and NASA programs to lead waiver initiations to completion with strong customer collaboration for non-compliances with M&P requirements.
- Conducting routine analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of tools, materials, parts, or processes.
- Assisting in implementing corrective and preventive actions.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent technical discipline
