A Day In The Life Of Our Image Guidance Intern:
- Work with a mentor to explore the feasibility of one or more advanced product concepts for image guided procedures
- Research, implement and iterate advanced algorithms and prototypes to prove technical feasibility and clinical value
- Design and implement testing and evaluation methods to iterate solution
- Contribute to the development of product features
About You:
- PhD candidate with independent research experience in CS, EE, BME, robotics; exceptional MS and undergraduate candidate can be considered
- Solid foundation on mathematics and analytical skills.
- Excellent programming skill to turn concepts into reality in C and Python
- Self-motivation and ability to work both independently and in a team
- Expertise in one or more of the following technical areas
- 3d geometric computer vision: camera calibration, pose estimation, bundle adjustment
- Deep learning
- Image segmentation
- Image registration (2d-3d, 3d-3d)
- Tomographic reconstruction
- Simulation and data synthesis
- 3d graphics and visualization
- Image guided surgery systems
- Familiarity with tools in respective areas such as OpenCV, ITK, VTK, DL frameworks.
