What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Educator position at Noble Hospice and Palliative Care?
We are seeking a Nurse Educator to join our team! This candidate is willing and able to drive throughout the valley to meet the expectations of the position.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:
- Develop and maintain educational materials for general orientation, discipline specific orientation, and ongoing education identified by the quality and education team
- Oversee the company’s learning management system used to meet annual education requirements
- Develop, maintain, and participate in the new hire orientation program for all new employees
- Responsible for providing community education and in-services on a variety of hospice related topics for our community partners
- Will serve as a mentor and role model to all members of the Noble Hospice clinical team
- Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Services and the Director of Quality Assurance to provide one-on-one education to all skilled nurses on a regular basis
- Oversees the hospice aide supervisory team as well as hospice aide annual education and competency requirements
- Responsible for completing joint visits and annual competency assessments of the skilled nursing team
- Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills and be available for phone calls, emails, and Teams chats for the duration of the shift
- Responsible for completing nursing visits as requested by the Director of Clinical Services
JOB CONDITIONS:
- This position is mainly a desk job requiring long periods of time in front of a computer.
- To fulfill the expectations of this position, the employee must be able to commute throughout the valley.
- Physical activities will include walking, sitting, stooping, and standing.
- May be required to bend, stoop, reach and move patients weights up to 250 pounds, lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. At least 18 years old.
2. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and exhibits excellent teamwork skills
3. Minimum 3 years of hospice experience
4. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, organization skills, and computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
5. Ability to demonstrate self-confidence and positive attitude toward self and others and maintain commitment and enthusiasm
6. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
7. Current RN licensure in State and CPR certification
8. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order
9. Excellent observation and problem-solving skills, basic math skills; nursing skills per competency checklist
10. Must be self-motivated and able to manage time appropriately to complete tasks in a timely manner
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 per year
