Job Summary
The Mini Bar Attendant has overall responsibility for maintaining proper levels of inventory in guest room Mini Bars to ensure guest satisfaction, and properly storing and securing all Mini Bar inventory and supplies at all times.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
- Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
- Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
- Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
- Must be able to cross-train in other hotel related areas.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Always maintain a friendly and warm demeanor. Employees must always be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
- Maintain complete knowledge of guest room layout, locations, and room numbers/names.
- Check on usage/consumption of the product and restock accordingly.
- Charge for consumption of product according to hotel policy.
- Ensure sanitation levels.
- Clean mini bars inside and outside.
- Communicate guest needs to proper department.
Other Duties
- Comply with NOBU CHICAGO service standards
- All colleagues are required to fully comply with the hotel and departmental rules, regulations and policies for the safe secure and effective and environmentally friendly operation of the hotel procedures and recycling efforts.
- Attend and participate in all hotel and or department meetings. training sessions and other informational meetings
- Comply with hotels attendance policy
- Comply with hotels grooming standards for both uniformed and non-uniformed colleagues
- Comply with hotels service and behavioral standards towards our guest, vendors and fellow colleagues including but not limited to ensuring proper phone etiquette. courteous and respectful behavior and maintaining a friendly and positive attitude
- Make up cribs and rollaway beds.
- Stock cleaning supply caddies.
- All other duties as assigned
- Navigates each shift fluidly and freely performs duties outside of assigned classification

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
| Physical Effort: | Exert physical effort in transporting carts, linen, furniture (200 pounds) to different areas of the resort. Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas. Reach 6.5 feet. Remain in stationary position for 8 hours throughout work shift. Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding. |

| Manual Skills | Significant portions of daily assignments involve application of manual skills requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterity, e.g., typing, handwriting, or machine operations. |
| Work Schedule: | Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, Associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. |
| Safety: | Responsible for operating within hotel safety guidelines, including the safe and responsible operation of hotel equipment. Reports and addresses safety concerns as they arise. Ensures safe handling of chemicals in accordance with hotel and department standards and utilizes proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when appropriate. |
