The team you'll be part of
Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).
What you will learn and contribute to
Nokia of America Corporation, Senior Backend Software Engineer (Multiple Positions), Dallas, TX. Build software-based solutions that cover IP network intelligence, analytics and distributed denial of service (DDoS) security. Write clean, scalable, and tested code. Mentor junior engineers. Participate in code reviews. Contribute to architecture/design discussions. Help lead and scale our engineering organization. Writing code that runs on large clusters over terabytes of data every day. Communicate technical decisions through design docs, tech talks, and the wiki. Contribute frequently to Demos and Code Reviews. Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Dallas, TX may be permitted, depending on business need. #LI-DNI
Your skills and experience
SALARY RANGE: $84,560 - $157,040 per year
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of related work experience. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience with the following: 5G New Radio (NR) and 4G LTE 3GPP radio network technology; Implementing 3GPP standards based on 5G, 4G, 3G, 2G and 3GPP RAN standards; Log analysis tools: QXDM, XCAL and ELT; Conducting technical discussion from 5G and 4G RAN implementation based on 3GPP standards during the course of interoperability testing and troubleshooting work; Facilitating UE and NW side troubleshooting and issue resolution between 5G and 4G mobile infrastructure and 5G and 4G mobile systems.
Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Dallas, TX may be permitted, depending on business need.
