Job description summary:
The Global Procurement Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services for the company on a global scale. Work directly with suppliers from around the world negotiating contracts to secure the best prices for the company while maintaining inventory level to execute contracts and deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiating contracts: Researching vendors and negotiating contracts to get the best price for the company
- Managing purchase orders: Processing purchase requisitions, invoices, and other procurement-related queries
- Managing relationships: Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and internal customers
- Representing procurement: Working with cross-functional teams to represent procurement
- Ensuring compliance: Working in compliance with the company's spending and transaction policies
- Managing invoices: Proactively managing and reducing the number of invoices on hold

Education and Certification Requirements:
Applicants are required to hold a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or demonstrate commensurate experience
Five to seven years related experience in a Food Production Manufacturing environment. Proven track record of cost savings in the Purchasing Department in a fast-paced environment. Strong negotiation skills are required.
Speaking, reading, and writing English is a must.
Equipment And Tool Knowledge:
Microsoft Windows office suite including outlook
SAP experience highly preferred
Work Environment:
Work in a usual office environment. Occasionally work in the warehouse where it is ambient temperature or in a cooler.
