What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrician, 2nd Class position at North American Construction Group?
Responsibilities
- The maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, inspection and cleaning of all electronic and electrical equipment
- Must be able to operate equipment necessary to move cable and portable equipment
- Applicant with surface coal mine electrical maintenance experience and a current MSHA electrical certification preferred.
- Must possess a strong working knowledge of AC & DC theory and equipment and electronic controls as applied to large mining equipment is desired.
Qualifications
- Must have current Journeyman Electrical License from the State of Wyoming or a reciprocal state as defined under the State of Wyoming Department of Fire Prevention and Electrical Safety of obtain a Journeyman Electrical License from the State of Wyoming within 6 months of hire date.
- Must obtain MSHA High Voltage card within 12 months of hire date, and be able to pass the shovel test within 6 months.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Must be able to work rotating shifts and weekends.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screen.
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
Overview
This position will work under a Master Electrician and will provide support services at the Kemmerer Mine by performing electrical tasks associated with the daily operations of a surface coal mine, located near Kemmerer, Wyoming. AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER M/F/D/V
