Position Statement
The LNAs are a vital part of the care team. In addition to direct patient care for the nursing units and departments, the LNA will also work as a 1:1 sitter for patients with mental health challenges. The Flex Pool LNA reports directly to the house supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Willingness to learn and support the Emergency Department, Maternal Child Health, Pre-op/PACU, Progressive Care Unit, and Primary Care.
- Must demonstrate a high level of skill, knowledge and flexibility.
- Critical thinking and situational adaptability are required to meet the needs of patients across the organization.
- Assist with a smooth workflow across departments, reducing the burden on other clinical staff.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- BLS, De-escalation training required
- 1-2 years recent LNA experience in an acute setting
