DON – Hospice of NS

SUMMARY: Looking for a Hospice Director of Nursing to direct and supervise the hospice program under the supervision of the Hospice Administrator.

Responsibilities of the Position:

• Administer and maintain quality assurance, environmental and infection control policies in accordance with facility objectives
• Overseeing the development of nursing staff
• Ensuring the nursing unit is compliant with all local, state and federal guidelines
• Coordinate the provision of hospice and palliative care services
• Evaluate staff for performance and competency to ensure nursing standards are met
• Provide care, comfort and support to clients navigating the difficult time at the end of their lives

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 years of direct RN experience in hospice or home health preferred
• Current RN licensure & current Driver’s in the State of Mississippi
• Current BCLS certification
• Must have a clear understanding of QAPI
• Required to have reliable transportation
• Must be compassionate about their work
• Possess excellent customer service skills and communication
• Must promote and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
