The Northbrook Park District has an exciting opportunity for a Pickleball Instructor to teach private lessons, group classes and clinics.

Pay, Hours & Benefits

$35.00 per hour depending on experience.

This position offers flexible hours and is responsible for teaching programs, classes and private lessons.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Teach private and group lessons to beginner to advanced level players.
• Help organize and officiate tournaments and mixers throughout the year.
• Teach classes and One Day Pickleball events and clinics
• Help develop and grow the Pickleball program to meet the needs of the community
• Fill out accident report, monitor attendance roster, or other forms as needed.
• Must arrive before program start for set-up and to prepare for program participant arrival.
• Must greet the public or team prior to any game, practice, or open play situation; act in a positive manner with all program participants. 
• Diligently follows and adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
• May operate equipment (i.e., clocks/timers).
• Follows safe work practices

Qualifications

The ideal Candidate:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Hold at least one national recognized certification in the Pickleball industry.
• Demonstrated customer service experience or focus.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. 
• Work independently and efficiently.
• CPR/AED Certification or ability to obtain within one (1) month of hire.

Work Conditions

Work is performed in indoor settings. Work may be performed with exposure to warm and/or cool temperatures for short or long periods of time.
