What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner - Full Time position at NORTHEASTERN HEALTH SYSTEM?
Position Summary
Provide the full scope of care within his/her field of training, including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, and coordination of care for patients in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations.
Position Accountabilities
Maintains established department policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
Facilitates the patient's transition within and between health care settings, e.g. admitting, transferring and discharging patients.
Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient's age-specific needs.
Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
Maintains patient documentation and signs documentation in a timely manner.
Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations, interdepartmental objectives, and infection control policies.
Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with hospital standards.
Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings according to licensure requirements.
Attends meetings as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Education - Physicians - MD or DO degree, Nurse Practitioner - Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure, Physician Assistant - Physician Assistant licensure
Minimum Experience - sufficient previous clinical experience
Required Certification/Registration - Current Oklahoma license
Preferred Experience - 1-3 years clinical experience
