Position Summary
Performs a variety of tasks including issuing supplies, maintaining inventories, and compiling stock records. Receives, inspects and delivers incoming materials, supplies, and equipment to central supplies or to the user departments as directed.
Position Accountabilities
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program,
and safety standards.
Receives incoming materials, supplies, and equipment and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment.
Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages in shipment and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
Uncrates and assembles equipment; ensures that patient care equipment has been properly labeled and inspected.
Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items.
Coordinates items for shipment by commercial conveyance by preparing bills of lading and/or other documents as required.
Receives requests for supplies, selects stock from inventory, and loads distribution vehicles. Distributes supplies to designated areas.
Inventories user storage areas and replenishes inventory or par levels.
Labels billable and non-billable items and prepares documents for charging supplies to patient accounts.
Organizes and maintains records pertinent to stock levels, supply quantities issued, and other data; recommends modifications to quotas or inventories.
Maintains perpetual inventory, taking periodic physical inventory.
Notifies appropriate personnel when in-house stock reaches order point or when ordered material is past scheduled delivery date.
Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
Maintains department records, reports, and files as required.
Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
Attends meetings as required.
Minimum Education - High School or equivalent
Preferred Education - Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training
Required License - Valid Oklahoma Drivers License
