Schedule - Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Location -Medical Oncology - Theodore Pollock, DO - 228 N Bliss Ave, Tahlequah, OK 74464
Position Summary
Provides a quality customer service experience to all patients. Assists with incoming phone calls, registration of clinic visits and scheduling appointments. Discuss financial responsibility with the patient and collect payments as appropriate.
Position Accountabilities
Maintain established departmental policies and procedures to include the quality assurance programs, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Provides a quality customer service experience to all customers. Observes the Customer Service House Rules
Reviews and obtains signatures for all required paperwork and ensure patients understand the necessary forms such as patient rights, confidentiality, protected health information and financial responsibility
Abides by clinic collection procedures and monitor patient eligibility for clinic visits. Complete patient registration accurately and efficiently. Including the following
Explains the financial requirements to the patient or responsible party.
Receives payments from patients and issues receipts.
Channels all incoming calls; take messages and relay appropriately.
Responds to emergency calls following established protocols.
Updates supervisor concerning patient concerns, registration issues or changes to the providers schedule.
Schedule patients in a timely manner with the earliest available appointment or appropriate timeframe per the provider.
Maintains department records, reports, and files as required.
Maintains and cares for department equipment and supplies.
Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Education - High School graduate or equivalent
Minimum Experience - On the job experience or equivalent in admitting procedures.
Preferred Experience - Healthcare admissions, collections, customer service training, medical insurance knowledge.
