What are the responsibilities and job description for the Membership Service Representative position at Northern Middlesex YMCA?
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
General Description
Must be energetic and provide outstanding service to YMCA members, guests, and program participants while handling several tasks simultaneously. The Member Service Representative will process information into the member management system efficiently and is accountable for knowing and properly executing all YMCA policies and procedures.
Principle Activities
Provide premier service to members and guests
Provide information about YMCA membership and programs in a professional manner
Process membership & program transactions accurately
Support promotional & fundraising efforts
Build supportive and caring relationships with members to assist them with their health and program goals
Listen to suggestions/concerns and respond promptly
Perform functions requested by Supervisor and department directors as need be
Provide supervisor with all changes to established work schedule.
Follow Welcome Center staff dress code: name tag, collared Y shirt, capris or pants
Attend mandatory monthly staff meetings
Skills and Competencies
High School diploma or equivalent
Two years of experience in the service industry
Excellent customer service skills
Proficient in Word and Excel with typing skills of 45 wpm or above
High degree of accuracy with information, multi-task oriented
Ability to develop effective working relationships, effectively communicate and problem solve
Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
Shifts Available
Days, Evenings and weekend shifts available
