Northfield Properties is Hiring a Property Manager Near Georgetown, MA

The challenge

  • Advertise, show and fill vacancies.
  • Negotiate and enforce leases.
  • Ensure timely completion of maintenance requests and follow-up to ensure quality work.
  • Establish rental rate by surveying local rental rates.
  • Attract tenants by advertising vacancies, obtain referrals from current tenants, explain advantages of location and services and show units.
  • Contract with tenants by negotiating leases and collecting security deposit.
  • Accomplish financial objectives by collecting rents, paying bills, scheduling expenditures and participating in forecasting.
  • Maintain property by investigating and resolving tenant complaints, enforcing rules of occupancy, inspecting vacant units for repairs, planning renovations, contracting with landscaping and snow removal services.
  • Communicates with maintenance team to maintain building systems by contracting for maintenance services and supervising repairs.
  • Enforce occupancy policies and procedures by advising violators.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends.

The must-haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in multi-family property management
  • 1-3 years management experience a plus
  • Solid experience with Appfolio, Buildium or similar as well as leveraging social media platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of rules and regulations in property management
  • High achiever with a strong sense of urgency that is goal-oriented to meet objectives and bonus incentives
  • Strong ability to work well with tenants and vendors
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to successfully pass a credit, criminal and motor vehicle background screening.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, full-time or part-time hours - Flexible

Health Benefits, PTO and Paid Holidays: full-time only

Pay Rate: $30-$35 per hour
