What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern, Foundation X (Summer 2025) position at Northrock Partners, LLC?
Our competitive internship program attracts top undergraduate students primarily in the Minnesota region interested in gaining invaluable exposure to the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) space. Over the course of 12 weeks, interns will gain real-world experience and relevant industry knowledge. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in challenging projects, interact with a variety of industry professionals, and further explore their interests in the financial services industry.
We are currently looking for an intern to join our Foundation X team for the 2025 summer. Due to the nature of internship responsibilities, this position requires the ability to work on site at our Minneapolis office.
Essential Functions
- Work closely with the Social Impact team to complete a variety of projects throughout a 12-week timeframe
- Provide support for the Social Impact team; opening capacity for the entire firm
- Assist with updating and maintaining Foundation X’s digital presence, including scheduling LinkedIn and Instagram posts, and updating website content and resources
- Support the planning and facilitation of employee philanthropic programs and special events
- Conduct research for grant and partnership opportunities, furthering client deliverables and advice
- Assist with administrative tasks; meeting notes, updating systems, managing policies and procedures, etc.
Required Education & Experience
- Prior internship experience is preferred but not required.
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, communications, or related field as a junior or senior
- Polished verbal and written communication
- Exceptional interpersonal skill
- Ability to remain organized while prioritizing and managing multiple tasks
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Solid knowledge of MS Office and the ability to learn specialized systems and software quickly
- Professionalism
- A strong desire to learn and a self-starting attitude
Our Compensation & Benefits
The hourly rate for this role is $20.00 per hour. This role is also eligible for Employee Sick & Safe Time (ESST). For more details on ESST, visit the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry's website.
