We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our team! The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment while delivering high-quality education to students. The Assistant Teacher will be responsible for:
- Assisting in preparing the Montessori classroom environment to meet students’ needs and interests.
- Observing and documenting children’s progress and behavior, sharing insights with the lead Montessori teacher.
- Helping the teacher prepare activities and lessons for the day.
- Monitoring children as they work and play.
- Communicating with parents, guardians, and families about student activities and development.
- Maintaining a peaceful and prepared environment to foster student-directed learning.
- Supporting the development of students academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.
Instruction and Classroom Management: Deliver lessons effectively, employing a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Maintain a well-organized and stimulating classroom environment that promotes student participation, interaction, and active learning.
Manage classroom behavior and discipline using positive and appropriate strategies.
Assessment and Evaluation: Regularly assess student progress through various formative and summative assessment methods.
Provide constructive feedback to students on their academic performance and assignments.
Analyze assessment results to identify areas of improvement and adapt instructional strategies accordingly.
Student Support and Engagement: Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their thoughts.
Provide individualized attention to students who require extra support, addressing their unique learning needs.
Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues to keep them informed about student progress, classroom activities, and school events.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to share best practices, resources, and ideas for improving the overall educational experience.

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 DOE
