What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Behavioral Analyst (LBA) position at Northwest Autism Center?

We are looking for a Licensed Behavioral Analyst who is committed to upholding the gold standard of excellence in the care we are known for and will lead a team of skilled ABA professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective in the services they provide.
The LBA will have excellent assessment, program development, intervention, organizational skills, and experience in the treatment/care/education of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. Mature interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills are essential to working effectively with colleagues, schools, staff, ancillary service providers, parents, and caregivers in programming that is both comprehensive and family-centered.
The LBA primarily provides ABA programming, training, and direct services under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor. This position also supervises and supports the direct services staff to ensure high-quality treatment and communication practice across team members.
The LBA will develop treatment plans for clients that describe the need for treatment, the goals and objectives of skills the client/family will acquire during the treatment, and outline what treatment and data analysis strategies will be utilized in instruction and progress monitoring. To create these treatment plans, the LBA shall review the client's records, interview the client and the client's family (if available), make direct observations and assessments of the client, and determine the appropriate treatment path for the client.
As a supervisor, the LBA shall supervise Licensed Assistant Behavior Analysts (LABAs) and Behavior Technicians (BTs) to ensure the training, treatment plans, and strategies are valid and reliable. The LBA shall monitor data and make programmatic changes to treatment plans as the LBA deems necessary. The LBA shall directly supervise (in person or via telemedicine) a minimum of 5% of the BT's time with clients and client's families.
Working in connection with, and under the supervision and leadership of, the Clinical Supervisor, additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Development of policies, procedures, and programming;
- Participate in daily and weekly program review opportunities with other LBAs and/or the Clinical Supervisor;
- Conduct assessments and evaluations, write instructional treatment plans, and provide ongoing plan updates and reports based on data as required within established timeframes;
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments/Analyses, write behavior support plans, and provide ongoing plan updates and reports based on data as required within established timeframes;
- Provide direct treatment to individuals and small groups of clients in clinic, home, and/or community settings;
- Provide supervision hours for Assistant BAs (BCaBA/LABA), BCBA candidates, and BTs (RBT/CBT).
- Perform administrative duties required for organizational operations, including review and approval of staff timesheets, rendering of services, charting, updating information on tracking systems (waitlist, emergency drills, student hours, etc.), and timely follow-up on treatment plans and enrollments;
- Create, manage, and archive client files in the medical billing system;
- Collaborate with internal staff, families, and clients to provide the best treatment and support for clients;
- Work with Clinical Supervisor to provide training and supervision of staff and university students;
- Effectively communicate with families, other service providers, staff, university students, and community members;
- Design, collect, graph, analyze, and report individual and programmatic data;
- Complete session charge slips in the medical billing system within established timeframes;
- Collect and report organizational data within established timeframes (i.e., supervisee training hours for university students, emergency drills, problems with insurance, and waitlist information)
- Establish and implement practices to promote the care, safety, and health of each client across all program environments
- Participate in and/or supervise caregiver training via in-person or telehealth
- Respond to feedback and suggestions from leadership
- Assist in research, grants, writing, and presentations as needed
- Participate in activities/events to support the growth and development of Northwest Autism Center
- Coordinate with families, staff, and other team members to ensure program consistency
- Provide coordination of care with community services and providers, as appropriate;
- Other duties as assigned.
