How You'll Perform The Role
This position will support the production and shipping departments. Primary goal is to manage an efficient production schedule where change overs are minimized on a monthly basis and like items are produced in the most efficient method possible.
- Management of ink area: mixing ink, ordering inventory, performing physical inventories twice a month
- Prepare production orders for production (Plates, labels, print cards and samples).
- Print labels for production orders.
- Order plates, and label stock as needed
- Track plate and label inventory.
- Handle administrative/clerical duties in Scheduling department as assigned and directed.
- Handle department filing.
- Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures. Must take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazards.
- Learn basic scheduling functions to perform as back up when necessary.
- Manage, create, and ship transfer orders/items not produced at facility.
- Create, manage, and update reports as needed.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Follow all applicable food service policies and procedures.
- Follow all PPE policies, wearing steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets/beard nets, etc. as required.
- Follow all applicable procedures.
- Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Eligible to work in the United States
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is needed
- Must have basic Excel and Word skills – some MRP/ERP experience is preferred.
