Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients in mobility and transferring from one location to another safely.
- Monitor and record clients' health status, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assist with medication reminders and adherence to prescribed health plans.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all equipment is sanitized.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans.
Skills
- Experience in medical-surgical settings or familiarity with emergency medicine practices is preferred.
- Knowledge of geriatrics and outpatient care principles is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in various environments, including clinics, hospitals, or teaching hospitals.
- Understanding of protocols in a Level I Trauma Center or PICU is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
