What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sample Control Technician position at NutraStar, Inc.?
Logs and tracks the receipt of raw materials, components, and production samples into the laboratory, verifies submission of required documentation and quantities, and updates appropriate laboratory trackers to ensure consistent and efficient laboratory processing. Additionally, the Sample Control Technician is responsible for the maintenance of records as applicable to the generation of Certificates of Analysis to support customer and business needs in a timely fashion.
· Sample Management, maintenance of associated tracking tools, and sample archival.
· Initial sample documentation review/evaluations and subsequent sample distribution to appropriate laboratory area.
· Internal and external test record management and communication of critical results to appropriate personnel.
· Communicating and logging ‘out of specification” results in appropriate trackers for investigation and resolution.
· Maintaining QC records associated with the preparation and filing of certificates of analysis (COA).
· Preparation of certificates of analysis (COA) and tracking of associated review and approval process to ensure timely release and delivery to key parties.
· Use of ERP system for completion of administrative sample and certificate functions.
· Providing routine status updates on completion of tasks as well as communication of challenges.
· Raw material, component, and product specification file management.
· Laboratory records management.
· Preparation and coordination of samples for external testing as needed.
· Additional duties and responsibilities as needed.
