Housekeeping Manager

The position of Housekeeping Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations.

This is a full-time, exempt position.

Job Description Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily activities of the housekeeping department to include appropriate cleaning of all homes, hot tub cleaning, pet pick up, and outdoor staging (including BBQ).
  • Daily supervision and communication with all housekeeping staff and maintaining housekeeping supplies and inventory.
  • Recruit, schedule, and train all new housekeeping staff members.
  • Manage the housekeeping budget and staff schedule.
  • Maintain a cost control system for supplies and cleaning supplies for efficient operation of housekeeping.
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct.
  • To review and update all QA’s of properties.
  • Managing all housekeepers, in-house contracted teams with hiring, firing, and training capabilities.
  • Manage day-to-day operations to ensure all homes are cleaned and well maintained.
  • Maintaining overall property maintenance and annual property maintenance schedules. Scheduling vendors for servicing properties. Communicating costs and potential issues with the Director of Operations.
  • Inventory and supply management for each property.
  • Laundry facility management.
  • Creating and managing work orders to completion.
  • Additional projects as needed.

Requirements

A positive attitude when dealing with guests is non-negotiable

Hardware: The position requires a computer, internet connection, and a smartphone with app capabilities.

Reliable transportation.

Knowledge: Training will be provided for the Property Management System and the

Online Travel Agencies used for all reservations. The ability to use a Help FAQ and figure things out for oneself is important.

Soft Skills: Position is highly detail-oriented, flexible, and ability to make decisions based on profitability as well as excellent customer service.

Prioritization: This position demands quick thinking and the ability to ask for help in gathering resources for required information. The ability to prioritize projects and maintain a high standard within projects is imperative.

All staff must always maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive material and information of this nature and immediately report any potential confidentiality issues that may arise.

Compensation

This is a full-time exempt position $40,000 annual salary, paid bi-weekly.
