SUPPLY CHAIN PURCHASING INTERNSHIP
Overview :
Supply Chain Purchasing Interns support the procurement team with purchasing materials, equipment, supplies, and services for our project management teams to efficiently support customers across New York State and regions of the Northeast.
An intern will have an opportunity to gain experience working and assisting with many functions of the O'Connell Electric procurement team, including working alongside buyers, purchasing coordinators, project managers, accountants, and more.
Typical duties of a design intern include, but are not limited to :
- General administrative and clerical activities in support of the procurement department
- Coordinate updates and maintenance for the procurement purchasing module.
- File documents and maintain the vendor master database including subcontractor insurance data.
- Communicate professionally with external stakeholders, including subcontractors, to obtain insurance and relevant data required of the procurement department.
- Maintain vendor information repository by conducting research to refresh and update documents including certified / qualified suppliers and subcontractor database, regulations, processes, etc.
- Perform diverse supplier and subcontractor prequalification activities including distributing surveys, providing status updates, reviewing, and entering appropriate data for decision matrices and updating database as needed.
- Other miscellaneous activities and assistance as required.

Compensation :
The minimum and maximum annual salary (or hourly rates) that O'Connell Electric Company, Inc. believes in good faith to be accurate for this position at the time of this posting are $17.00 to $20.00 per hour.
