Summary
We are seeking a lead mechanic to lead our maintenance department and work on our machines (PLC trouble shoot equipment as well as mechanical side). The lead mechanic establishes a TPM maintenance program (total maintenance package), once a day going through the basics, spending 30 minutes on every machine. This person will also do inventory on parts. We are a digital print manufacturer and have large pneumatic / hydraulic machinery.

Weekend Schedule
- Monday to Friday (some Sat during peak season)
- 7am to 4:30pm
Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluates the quality, productivity and -reliability of equipment on the manufacturing line and leads continuous improvement actions
- Lead training and execution of plant level improvement initiatives in accordance with facility goals and newly publish corporate continuous improvement standards
- Assist with new product development, modifications, upgrades, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
- Oversee training program for production operators for all locations to ensure knowledge sharing and learning opportunities
- Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues
- Develop preventive maintenance procedures to avoid equipment failure
- Analyze root cause of equipment failures and propose corrective actions
- Assist in the specification and installation of process equipment
- Provide 24 x 7 support to troubles shoot equipment issues
- Provide technical support for internal and external request
- Maintain and repair facility equipment
- Performs other assigned duties as required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ten years of experience working in manufacturing with finishing systems and production lines
- Excellent leadership and management skills with proven ability to build, manage, and foster a team-oriented environment
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Analytical/Problem-solving skills
- Knowledge in the use of computer and software applications relevant to this position
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical manuals from OEM
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and or regulatory agencies
- Ability to effectively present information to senior and executive management
