Requirements/Job Description
· Assist in overseeing the front-end cashier staff
· Maintain accurate pricing and deployment of incoming merchandise
· Handling cash drawers and changing bills for the registers
· Facilitate the operations of systems, particularly register units and run counterpoint, especially in the event of an error or system failure
· Communicate with tech support in the event of a system failure that is not fixable locally
· Open and close the store as needed
· Communicate effectively with managers and staff regarding current sales, discounts, tasks, and miscellaneous information
· Other tasks may be asked of the applicant as needed by management, flexibility is expected

-are physically able to lift boxes/merchandise and work on your feet

-are willing to learn about our product and speak knowledgeably about it
Availability
This is a full-time position. The applicant should expect to work on weekends and evenings. Oakland Nursery is a store heavily influenced by the seasons. During peak seasons, applicants will be expected to work overtime. Peak seasons are typically mid-April through mid-June, September through October, and mid-November through the third week of December.
