The Maintenance Worker position, under limited supervision, performs work of routine maintenance; performs related work as assigned.
Essential Functions

· Performs routine maintenance on building interior or exterior.
· Communicates effectively and genuinely with guests, employees, and other departments.
· Maintains a friendly and caring demeanor at all times in a fast pace environment.
· Report to work at the scheduled time, well-groomed and in the correct uniform.
· Perform inspections of operating machinery, equipment and systems.
· Ensure all work is carried out in accordance and compliance with fire and safety regulations and all municipal, state and federal guidelines.
· Works in a safe manner and recognizes the unsafe situation. Takes appropriate action to ensure the safety of themselves and others in the building.
· Respond quickly to all guest requests in a caring friendly and professional manner, consistently follow up to ensure guest satisfaction that meets and exceed our services standards.
· To assist with maintenance on mechanical systems such a pump, fan coil units etc.
· To operate the fire pump and sprinkler system as required.
· Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported appropriately and immediately.
· Perform any other duties assign by his/her manager.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at constructions job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days vary based on business needs. This includes weekends, holidays, evenings and/or overnight shifts.
Required Education and Experience
· A minimum of (2) years of relevant engineering/maintenance experience.
· A minimum of (1) year of experience in a hotel environment.
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Highly responsible and reliable.
· Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
· Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining call and courteous at all times.
· Flexible schedule. Able to work weekends and holidays.
