Job Details

Registered Nurse position in Lafayette, Louisiana at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.

Unit accommodates first timers with 2 years experience.

Patient diagnoses include chest pain, CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, DM, COPD exacerbation, PNA, HTN, MI, renal failure, PE, CHF, GI bleed, syncope.

Special procedures include pre / post cath lab, PPM / AICD, ablations, vascular surgeries, and titration of drips.

Job Requirements

Current / valid Louisiana State License or Compact License required.

BLS certification required.

ACLS certification required if it expires within 30 days of start.

Schedule Information

Every other holiday required.

Can be pulled to all other inpatient units.

Unable to guarantee specific scheduling requests.

Unit Specific Information

Telemetry monitoring and chest tubes are part of the unit's special equipment.

Additional Details

Drivers License / State ID required, must be in color.

Background Check required within 30 days of start.

Negative TB or Chest X-Ray required within 12 months.
