College Connection Coach

General Summary

The role of a College Connection coach is to strengthen the college’s relationships with our K12 partners and service area schools. The College to Career Coach will be responsible for coordinating college bound programming for the assigned service area, and will develop and deliver programming designed to facilitate enrollment in college, including Odessa College.

Specific Position Duties

• Maintain up to date knowledge of Odessa College programs and course offerings.
• Represent the College at college day/night programs.
• Maintain records and produce follow-up reports regarding activities and future plans,
• Serve as a resource for students that wish to enroll in dual credit, and can process applications and answer questions, streamlining the process and ensuring that more students have access to dual credit opportunities.
• Provide information regarding admissions requirements and program benefits to prospective students and parents via phone, e-mail/mail and personal visits; follow up with mail or phone call, as appropriate.
• Maintain office space at Odessa College to provide availability to students, parents, and staff.
• Organize Odessa College involvement with school initiatives, career exploration, and celebrations of student success.
• Be a partner and a liaison as we embark on improving educational opportunities for all students in Ector County Independent School District.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
• Highly developed skills in project organization and time management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44,000.00 per year
