The Deputy Solicitor General will assist the Solicitor General in all capacities.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Handle significant constitutional and appellate litigation in state and federal courts in Indiana including authoring briefs and delivering oral arguments.Prepare recommendations to join amicus brief requests and litigation requests. Keep track of joint requests.Provide assignments and supervise law clerks.Communicate effectively in oral arguments, and with opposing and outside counsel.
