This position focuses on advancing Ethernet-based communication stack architectures to support high-performance networking and enable Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Computing (HPC) workloads. Your contributions will help shape the future of Ethernet technology and position Ofinno as a leader in this cutting-edge field.
Based on your experience and qualifications, you may join us as a Staff Engineer, Senior Staff Engineer, or Principal Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead research and development efforts focused on enhancing Ethernet-based communication stacks for AI and HPC workloads
- Prototype and analyze innovative solutions for RDMA optimization, multi-path packet spraying, congestion control, and transport services to reduce job completion times for AI and HPC workloads
- Collaborate with the UEC and its members to define, refine, and promote technical specifications for UEC-compliant networks
- Develop and present technical contributions to UEC working groups and industry forums, positioning Ofinno as a thought leader in AI/HPC networking technologies
- Collaborate with internal teams to build intellectual property (IP) based on UEC-related innovations and support the patenting process.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in high-performance networking technologies, with a strong focus on Ethernet systems for AI and HPC workloads
- Deep understanding of RDMA protocols and their application in Ethernet-based communication stacks
- Familiarity with key concepts in networking for AI and HPC environments, including multi-path packet spraying, congestion control, and transport services
- Expertise in working with or contributing to industry consortia or standards development organizations, particularly in defining technical specifications for networking technologies
- Familiarity with Ethernet enhancements for AI/HPC, such as Link Level Reliability (LLR) or lossless/lossy network tuning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of addressing complex technical challenges in networking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and ideas effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
- A passion for innovation and a demonstrated history of contributions to groundbreaking research in networking technologies
