Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Transporter/C.N.A. at our facility you will be joining a hard-working, compassionate team. We value every member of our team and consider ourselves a family, we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:

• You will be responsible for transporting patients to other departments for scheduled tests and procedures, and then back to their rooms.
• You will position and drape patients for exams and treatments.
• You will support nursing staff with routine duties, such as changing bed linens.
• You will provide encouragement, support, and comfort to patients and family members.
• You will observe and report information regarding patient needs to licensed personnel.
• You will follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation procedures.
• You will perform clerical work as needed, including assembling and maintaining charts, filing, answering and transferring phones, and relaying messages.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current Utah certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) preferred.
• Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training program.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification. Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting preferred

• High School Graduate / GED
