Duties
- Learn to identify cuts of beef, pork, lamb and more to package and label for fulfillment
- Ensure compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) guidelines to maintain food safety
- Organize and move packages and boxes of varying cuts of meat for inventory management (must be able to lift 60 pound boxes multiple times per day)
- Operate food processing equipment safely and efficiently
- Eager to learn, improve knowledge and show up 5 days a week (occasional weekend & OT work)
- Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation to maximize customer satisfaction, while packing orders for weekly shipping or delivery
- Willingness to spend time in cold temperatures (freezers and coolers) to manage inventory
- Maintain inventory levels by assisting with stock rotation and replenishment
- Sanitate work areas, tools, and equipment regularly to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards
Skills
- Experience in food processing or working in a food production plant is preferred
- Understanding of food industry standards, including safety regulations related to handling perishable goods
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment with a willingness to adapt
- This job requires you to be active for 8 hours a day, with an ability to lift 60 pounds multiple times per day
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
- Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety protocols
