What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bakery Clerk / Barista / Deli Clerk position at Olde Tyme Pastries?
We are looking for a couple motivated people to join our team of clerks / baristas. Retail experience is preferred. Open availability or close to is strongly preferred. Must be punctual, self-motivated, able to follow instructions, and willing to work weekends (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are a must as they are our busiest days).
Job responsibilities and requirements include but are not limited to:
- Assisting customers with purchases and placing orders.
- Operating a cash register and counting back change.
- Helping keep FOH clean and sanitized.
- Refilling product.
- Answering phones.
- Being able to lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Constant multitasking.
- Keeping an up to date California Food Handlers Certification.
- Basic computer skills required for entering orders and using registers.
- Helping put product out before opening and cleaning up and shutting everything down after closing.
- Packaging product
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- If in coffee/deli side preparing drinks, sandwiches, salads, soups, slice meats & cheeses, etc.
