Job Summary- (Total care client)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This position requires a patient and understanding individual who can effectively monitor health needs, administer medication, and assist with various tasks to enhance the quality of life for those under their care.
Duties
- Provide direct support to clients, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Monitor patients' health by checking vital signs and observing any changes in condition.
- Assist with medication administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being, especially for those with dementia or memory care needs.
- Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and family members to develop personalized care plans that address the specific needs of each client.
- Document daily activities, health observations, and any changes in client conditions accurately.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care, group home settings, or similar environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital signs assessment is essential.
- Experience with medication administration and understanding of safety protocols related to it is required.
- Familiarity with dementia care and memory care strategies is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are crucial.
- Must be patient, empathetic, and possess a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to cook nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs is a plus.
- A valid driver's license may be required depending on the client's needs and location.
