Job Description: Field Property Claims Adjuster

We are seeking a full-time team member to manage field property claims locally for personal, commercial, and agriculture lines. Preferred location: Kansas City, MO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee independent field office operations within a specified territory, including full life cycle property claims handling (field inspections, investigations, etc.)
• Contact relevant parties, gather statements, explain claims process, assess coverage, and identify potential fraud indicators
• Review loss details and damages, order reports, and document claims findings
• Conduct field investigations or assign independent adjusters when needed
• Communicate with clients and prepare estimates with detailed diagrams and reports
• Negotiate with insureds, contractors, and vendors
• Assess salvage/subrogation potential and monitor until completion
• Maintain contact with claimants, agents, attorneys, and internal teams to ensure timely claim resolution
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and conclude claims accordingly
• Assist during catastrophe events, including travel or overnight stays
• Maintain required state licensing through continuing education courses

Qualifications:

• Experience in property claims handling or related fields (e.g., home construction, estimating)
• Current state adjuster license or ability to obtain one upon hire (company will cover fees)
• Ability to perform physical assessments, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license
