Network Engineer Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to help grow our current and future client base.
We are a managed service company that has been providing IT support to local clients since 2008. Our goal is to provide clients with support and services that keep them productive, safe, and up to date with the latest technologies. Our services include many cloud based and on premises solutions. We have always been a virtual company that works from home or at client sites.
In this position, you are exposed to a wide variety of technology. Each person is given the opportunity and encouraged to learn all aspects of keeping our clients supported. This positions duties include the skills to assess our clients current operations and network topology, identify weaknesses, and install the hardware and software necessary to fix them. This may include tasks like installing firewalls, a VPN, or completely revising a wireless internet system.
Senior Network Engineer Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess our client’s network needs.
- Order and install new technology.
- Train employees on the use of the new system.
- Provide technical support to first level support team members.
Senior Network Engineer Requirements and Qualifications
- 5 years of network engineering or administration experience.
- Cloud Computing Experience is a plus.
- Ability to stay up to date on evolving technology.
- Capability to communicate technical information down to the layman.
- Impeccable time and scheduling abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a motivated team.
- Experience with ConnectWise is a plus
- Familiarization with Scrum or Agile process is a plus
