Business Development Director

Omelet
Culver, CA Full Time
POSTED ON 12/28/2024
AVAILABLE BEFORE 3/11/2025
Omelet, an award-winning, independent creative agency with a growing and exciting client roster, is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and multidisciplinary Business Development Director for its Culver City headquarters location (currently hybrid, 2x week in office). Candidates must be based in Los Angeles currently.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Business Development Director will be a key member of Omelet's growth team, helping to lead the agency's new business development efforts.

The ideal candidate is self motivated, resourceful, and has a keen business sense with equal parts emotional intelligence and level-headedness. This is a unique position as it requires someone who is both a big-picture, strategic thinker and a detail-obsessed doer. A person who loves building relationships with brands and cultivating new business opportunities. This person should be comfortable wearing many hats (often at once!) and running with a lean team to lead pitches, respond to RFPs and RFIs, and craft proposals.

We are looking for someone who brings with them an existing network of brand contacts and a deep knowledge of the advertising and marketing landscape.

General Responsibilities:

  • Leading and executing the agency's outbound and inbound sales efforts
  • Cultivating new business leads and quality relationships with senior brand marketers and consultants
  • Leading pitches and writing responses to RFPs and RFIs, collaborating with teams across Omelet to ensure projects are running efficiently and productively
  • Overseeing the management of Omelet's CRM database, new business pipeline, and other department systems and tools
  • Maintain Omelet's library of collateral materials, including agency capabilities deck, case studies, executive bios, and any other relevant assets
  • Staying on top of industry trends and the overall agency landscape
  • Encouraging collaboration and participation amongst agency staff

Requirements

  • 6 years of experience in an agency setting leading new pitches, business development, or brand management
  • You have strong relationships with senior brand marketers and an innate ability to network with ease
  • You are a proactive and a self-starter who wants mentorship but not micro-management
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
