Job Description

To ensure that all invoices incurred by the hotel are paid on a timely basis according to the Omni standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in responding to and maintaining an effective relationship with vendors
  • Assist in the processing of AP invoices 
  • Bank, credit card and other reconciliations as needed
  • Generates AR balance reports on a weekly basis
  • Assist in internal audit as needed
  • Preparation of weekly payroll for corporate
  • Assist in the preparation and running of monthly credit meetings
  • Acts as backup general cashier for property when GC is out of office for extended periods of time
  • Assist in balance sheet preparation
  • Assist guest inquiries via email or telephone in a timely manner
  • Monthly union reporting
  • Daily sales tax reconciliations
  • Assist Accounting Manager in month-end preparation
  • Roll up of quarterly internal self-audit
  • Daily management of Guest Ledger balances
  • Vendor Contract/COI Management
  • Be able to learn business software efficiently
  • Be able to meet deadlines without exceptions
  • Be able to handle other accounting related assignments when needed

Qualifications

  • Must have working knowledge of basic computer systems and intermediate computer skills.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Must have a sense of urgency and a willingness to complete everything as outlined in job description
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a hotel finance team
  • Bachelors degreed preferred
  • Previous experience desirable in hotel setting
  • Must have worked in Union property
  • Payroll experience required; union preferred
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge required
