Position Summary
The VP of Operations at OmniDuct is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our four duct manufacturing facilities while shaping the company’s long-term trajectory. This role places a strong emphasis on fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational brilliance. The VP of Operations will lead four general managers, an HR Director, and the Safety and Compliance Officer, working closely with key stakeholders to instill a mindset of innovation and excellence. This involves not only driving lean manufacturing initiatives but also prioritizing coaching and mentoring to elevate team performance. Through this visionary leadership approach, the VP will push the boundaries of what is possible in the manufacturing industry, creating a unified, performance-driven culture that consistently exceeds expectations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Operational Leadership: Provide strategic leadership for four general managers, an HR Director, and the Safety and Compliance Officer, ensuring that operational and safety goals are met across all facilities. Foster collaboration, accountability, and consistency across plants while elevating service standards and client satisfaction.
· Lean Manufacturing: Implement and drive lean manufacturing principles to optimize production, reduce waste, and increase efficiency across all facilities.
· Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Work with general managers to develop and manage facility budgets and P&L statements. Track cost reduction initiatives, especially around material expenses and direct labor.
· Performance Metrics: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including pounds per hour, production efficiency, and profitability. Develop action plans to improve performance.
· Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
· Equipment Maintenance & Upgrades: Oversee capital improvement projects and maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and productivity.
· Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards by working closely with the Safety and Compliance Officer. Promote a safety-first culture.
· Team Development: Mentor and develop general managers, empowering them to lead with accountability. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and regular meetings to share best practices.
· Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement the company’s long-term operational strategy, aligning with OmniDuct’s growth objectives.

Pay: From $175,000.00 per year
