OmniSource is Hiring an UBC & Class Scrap Account Manager Near Fort Wayne, IN
Overview:
Coordinate, direct, and oversee the activities of the Marketing team. Develop, implement, and execute scrap procurement strategies in support of business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Manage marketing staff.
Represent the division and the marketing department at the corporate level.
Scrap accounts – procure scrap metal from new industrial generators, retain and maintain profitable accounts within established guidelines, identify and implement margin opportunities with existing accounts.
Re-negotiate terms or manage underperforming accounts.
Develop new and maintain existing customer relationships.
Resolve internal and external customer service issues.
Represent the company in the community through local events.
Coordinate activities of customer orders between the customer and the Industrial Marketing Representatives, Transportation, and Yard Management.
Develop department goals – track and report progress.
Implement growth initiatives to current supply base.
Work with marketing and operations staff to set retail pricing.
Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Previous sales or procurement of UBC or Class aluminum scrap experience.
Working knowledge of scrap pricing, material identification, costs, operations, and transportation.
Previous management or supervision experience.
Ability to generate and qualify leads and close deals.
Working knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and a CRM. Experience with ERP system is a plus.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Flexible schedule, as travel is required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required.
